Hemp Milk Recipe - A High Protein Breakfast

Hemp milk is made by simply blending The Brothers Green Organic Hemp Hearts and water, with any variation of water to hemp hearts changing the creaminess of the milk.

The more Hemp hearts to water the creamier it will get. For a typical milk consistency 1/4 cup of Hemp hearts with 1 cup of water is ideal.

Mixing times vary depending on preference but 2 mins in a nutri bullet should do the trick. The longer the blending the smoother the milk will get.

If you’re making a Hemp protein smoothie (a great high protein NZ breakfast!), use simple Hemp milk as your base and then add your usual The Brothers Green Hemp Protein and other ingredients for an even more nutritious & creamy smoothie.


Simple Hemp Milk

  • 1/4 cup of The Brothers Green Organic Hemp Hearts
  • 1 cup water
  • pinch of rock salt
  • 2-3 ice cubes


Creamy Banana Hemp Milk

  • 1/4 cup of The Brothers Green Organic Hemp Hearts
  • 2/3 cup of water
  • pinch of Rock salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/3 of a banana
  • 2-3 ice cubes 


Hempberry (Berry Hemp Milk)

  • 1/4 cup of The Brothers Green Organic Hemp hearts
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 soaked date
  • 1/4 cup of chosen berries
  • 2-3 ice cubes


Hempenly Cocoa (Chocolate Hemp Milk)

  • 1/4 cup of The Brothers Green Organic Hemp Hearts
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp cacao
  • 2 tbsp nut butter
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • pinch of rock salt
  • 2-3 cubes of ice
  • 1 soaked date
